so the wise men often speak / try as i may
i’m much too weak / inhibition and fearful thoughts
of losses past and sorrow’s cost / get in the way
of heartfelt words /and lessen pleasure’s sway
a message here / a lyric there / leads to a life
that’s oh so drear / if i could somehow find a way
to say directly / come what may / it couldn’t be
much worse than this / to breathe and set me free
